Wordpress is also open source, another big reason Wordpress is widely used and respected. While Blogger is a reputable, quality product, most people that start out on Blogger are beginners. A big reason for this is the user-friendly attitude of Blogger, but then again, anything that's associated with Google always is huh? Because of Google's ownership of Blogger, you are able to sign in and out using your Google account and password.

So whats it going to be? A widely used, ecommerce-ready blog like Wordpress, or a simple and easy blog from Google? Keep in mind those free blog hosts are just two of the many out there. You could research all these other blog hosts and realize that these two don't even compare to it.
